Too Cool

Hey there, it's been a while! How cool am I? Got my feet kicked up and wearing my shades!
Anyway, I am up to 35 weeks. They told mom that she had the gestational diabetes so she has had to eat healthy. She is taking really good care of me. So good that the doctor told her to skip next weeks appointment. The good thing about this is that I get to be on TV every week. I think I have been on TV more than any baby ever!

My mom and dad think they have everything ready for me. I am sure they are missing something! I wanted to say thanks for all the shower gifts. Our family and friends have been so helpful. There are so many things a little diva like me needs. My room is looking really good. Hopefully, dad will put some video up soon on this website for me. I would shoot the video myself, but my hands are too small. How do I type? Hello..I hunt and peck.

Right now I am standing upright, I like it that way. If I decide not to turn, they will have to perform C-section surgery to get me. It's nice and cozy where I am at, but I am starting to get cramped. I am somewhere between 5 and 6 pounds, and they are saying I'm looking like an 8 pounder.

Mom is real proud that she has a belly to match Dad's. We all took pictures together on the beach during her birthday. I like the beach, it's cool. Mom and I have matching track suits and Puma shoes, we are going to be pretty bad ass. Dad has found an Guns N Roses baby style music, and he is pretty pumped up about it.

So let the countdown begin, my arrival will be soon. The world ain't never seen nothing like this!

Third Trimester!!!

Hey everyone! How is it going? I am doing great, I have grown quite a bit. I am over a foot long and weigh somewhere around 3 lbs. I am very excited about getting out in the world, and starting my karate career. I practice my kicks all the time.

My room is coming around, the furniture has been delivered and setup. I like it a lot! My dog is starting to get jelous, I just know it. The room is starting to get filled up with many of the essentials, thanks to mom's first baby shower.

It's been a while since I modeled for pictures, so we had a session, 3D style. Being the diva that I am, I made the sonographer make her money. I kept moving around and covering my face. It was hilarious, the lady thought she could get me to do what she wants by shaking mom's belly....whatever!

Mom and dad started going to classes to learn what to do at the time of my arrival. They better get ready, cus I'm going to change their lives forever.

So, what am I up to now?

We all went to the doctor on Monday, and I am doing fantastic! We are now at 24 weeks and I just keep getting bigger! I am about a foot long now and weigh a pound, cool huh? We have another appointment at the end of this month. In October, I am going to make my 3d premier for mom, dad and grandma, how exciting! If you are lucky, my dad will find away to post it on my blog.

In other news, my room is starting to come along. It is now painted and has wainscoating and a chair rail. My next door neighbor was nice enough to put in a fan and customize my closet for me. I am going to ask him real nice to put up my curtain rod for me, bet I can get him to do it! The walls are a light shade of green and the wainscoating is white. See the picture for yourself.

My furniture should be coming in soon. Mom and dad got most of my bedding stuff, so once the furniture comes in, my room will be ready to go. Too bad I'll be sleeping in their room for the first few months.

Once my room is ready, I'll be sure to show it off to you guys. Til then, ta-ta.

It's 18 weeks and I'm a Girl!

So get this, my daddy has been running his mouth about me being a boy. He even bet some joker 20 bucks on it! One of his other buddies was trying to come up with crazy boy nicknames. Well I had enough of that! Today Grandma, Grandpa, Mom and Dad went to watch another one of my feature films. Of course, when it was time to start filming I was still asleep. These film crews are so unprofessional, don't they realize I am the star? Anyway, I woke up once mom emptied that bladder, its always getting in my way.

So the picture lady was checking me out, and she dropped the bomb. Yeah that's right I am a girl. Grandma called it, and I had everyone else fooled. I do want to thank those of you who follow my blog, because you guys did vote me as a girl. So for now on, I have a new name. If you want you can call me the baby formerly known as baby shafer, but my legal name will be Addison. Talks are still under way for my middle name. I would like to publicly deny that Gertrude was ever a candidate (sorry great granny). TMZ and The Star were both reporting that, but it is complete rubish.

I was able to show off my body parts and everything looks great. I even crossed my legs like a proper lady. My mom was so brain washed by my father that she was overwhelmed when she found out I was a girl. Wait until I make my premier, me and her are gonna take over the world, one shopping mall at a time.

Now mom and dad can get my room ready. I have requested 600 thread count sheets, a full walk in closet, plenty of diapers (all different brands), flavored pacifiers and all the disney collection on Blue-Ray in alphabetical order of the name of the main character. Look, being a diva comes with certain expectations. Anyway, see you soon and remember, baby girls rule, baby boys drool. Okay, I will probably drool some too.

I'm 4 Months..Well In The Belly!

Sorry for not writing sooner my parents have been too distracted to type for me. My mom has been busy with homework and my dad hurt his ankles hooping it up, so he's been resting in the evenings. My dad is an athlete ya know, he's also kind of a big deal!

Back to me...this Tuesday my Mom and Grandma went to the doctor to listen to my heartbeat and mom had to get some bloodwork done. But let's be honest, they wanted to check in on me. Mom laid down on the table so our doc could listen in on my heartbeat with that doppler thingy. Mom's doc was looking where I was last time, but what I didn't tell anyone was that recently I decided to move up and find a more comfy spot ;-) Our doc gave up on that little thingy and brought out the sonogram machine, she found me right away behind my mom's belly button...so guess what? My grandma got to see me!!! She thought I was pretty awesome...I didn't reveal any info to them other than the basics: I grew, my heartrate is strong and I'm cute. I am saving the juicy stuff for my dad and grandpa on July 28. Check my blog that afternoon, if it's blue, I'm a boy...if it's pink, I'm a girl. Until then Stay Classy, San Antonio!

Officially in My 2nd Trimester

It was a good week for me. My mom is out of school so we are spending a lot of time relaxing, finally! This week we met the doctor that's going to deliver me when I feel like being born. My mom and dad really liked her. I did too until she said there would be no more picture taking of me UNTIL JULY 28...hello I am cute! But at least then she'll put an end to the boy/girl debate. Keep on voting people, I'm not telling! Oh and our doctor did say my heartbeat was a "beautiful sound", so I guess we're cool now.

Today is Father's Day! I want to send a shout out to my dad who rocks...he waits hand and foot on me and my mom's every demand. He is going to be the best daddy ever. To celebrate my super awesome Dad and handsome little Grandpa, we had lunch somewhere far and just so everyone didn't take their mind off me too long I made my mom sick all morning. What? I just wanted everyone to know I was growing nicely. ;-) Talk to you all soon.

Little Human

This was our last visit to Dr. Martin, we graduated! I thought it would have been cool, for me to have a cap and gown ceremony, but whatever. My dad is going to try to put the video up, it is awesome!

Growth Spurt

It was two weeks since last pic. But here I am at 11 weeks, am up to almost 4 cm!

Starting To Look Like A Baby!

This is from a photo session I did at 8 weeks. You can tell that I am human now!

Lucky Seven

You know my parents love Vegas. Well here is a shot of me at 7 weeks. Starting to stretch out a bit!

Six Weeks!

Here I am at six weeks. Dr Martin described me as a peanut. Gee, thanks. This is when I was little, like 3 mm, thats like a grain of rice! I am there in the bottom right of the dark area.

Baby Shafer Grand Opening!

Many of you have been privy to the information that I am indeed on my way. There was no way with all the paparzi here in San Antonio that I could have been kept under wraps. Hey, if you can't beat them, join them. So it's official at the time of this blog I am 12 weeks. You wouldn't believe how much I grow every day. I am a couple inches now, think I may have NBA height (or WNBA). There is a lot of whispers about my gender. Please vote on the right of the blog page so we can get a good idea. Mom and Dad need to start getting my room ready so the earlier they know the better! Like my parents, I am very, very photogenic, check out my pics!
